Holy hell I'm actually doing something. I can call myself an "artisit" again. I'm actually "writing" and soon to be "performing" with a bunch of talented, brilliantly funny people. And Ian's doing the magical movie-work. So the schlock rises from the ashes. Finally, something worth coming out of creative hibernation for. "The F Word: Lesbians of Framingham getting down and dirty". So what if it's a direct rip-off of the ground breaking orginal series on Showtime. At least it's something for Christ's sake. Speaking of Christ, ever since we did that show with his name in it, we haven't quite figured what to do next. First, we were all plans...take it to nyc...or run it longer here in Boston. But then we thought, no...something completely new, a Boston born musical. And then... I lost it. I lost motivation, lost my thought process, lost the oom pah pah. Kind of wanted to be a mommy and do not more than that. Okay, so now I want to do just a leeetle but more than that. And I, like every other lesbian in the United States, have been addicted to "The L Word". I love to hate it and hate to love it. At first I wanted to do a show called "The F Word on the L word", and actually just show an entire episode and comment all the way through, like I know everybody else is doing in the privacy of thier own living rooms. And then I thought, here's the muse, here's the path, here's the thing I've really been wanting to do for a while but have not known exactly how to do it. That is, to grow an enemble of actors that would perform original schlock type stuff, in a casual way. And have booze for the audience. I thought The Milky Way would be the perfect place, and thankfully, so did they. And now, a marriage is born. Schlock at the Way. The Schlocky Way. The Faith Schlocky Way. Wow..,these really are random musings. Come on out June 26th, Sunday and join the fun.

To everyone who came out to the Nov 1st Extravaganza, a huge thank you! We here at Schlock Operaland came up with the premise somewhat quickly as the oppurtunity to have a show, came quickly as well. It was truly amazing to see and hear so many of you out there. We are planning future productions as we speak. Please stay tuned.
On other fronts, if you haven't heard about my partner Harlie's book, "Buying Dad", let me be the first to tell you it's quite funny, and moving. And there's a lot of good realtionship dirt for all the voyeurs among you.
Our little girl Betsy is a treasure and I'm adoring being a mommy. I told Jennifer K who is preggers (as those who saw the Nov 1st show know), that being a new parent focus's your creative world in a real and sharp way. That's how I feel right now.
Again, stay tuned for more to come...as always thanks for all of your support.
And how about Ian as Rich Lamachhia huh?!!!
Happy Holidays

Hey everyone,
Here's your chance to be in the uppcoming production of "Jesus Has Two Mommies." As you hopfully know by now, we're revamping the show for it's new production on December 6th and 7th, with new songs, new characters and new videos. One of those videos will be shooting this Saturday, Nov. 9th, at Peter's Hill in the Arnold Arburitum in J.P.
We want as many people as we can get (mostly women, though men are welcome too) to come there and appear in this new video. We'll be gathering at 12 noon and shooting for about one hour. Please come, and bring your friends, the more people we get the better the video will be!
PLEASE DRESS WARMLY as it can get windy up there.
The rain date will be Sunday the 10th.
Keep checking this page for any updates.
Hope to see you all there,
Faith

Hello to you all
Reporting to you from under the strange, miraculous, murky waters of motherhood. Betsy Grace Soloway-Aizley (yes the dreaded hyphen makes it's mark on our family) was born February 12th, 2002 at 6:30 am
She is amazingly beautiful...like a perfect doll
For those of you who are first time parents, or can remember the feeling...you know pretty much where we are...not a lot of sleep, total obsession with her very sleep, feed, and burp
Harlie has restricted her diet to no wheat, no soy, and no dairy, as to avoid the hell of colic we've stumbled upon. It's worked for one day. These are the boring, minute yet mysterious details we've been living under since feb 12th
We are both in love with her
I've known her for four and a half weeks yet i would do anything for her
isn't that weird?
As for future faith-like projects...
We plan to remount Jesus next year, but don't expect the same show. There will be an exciting overhaul...what with this real mommy now in action, i have even more to explore, satirize, plagiarize, desensitize...
I will try to keep you all posted on new developments or maybe just tedious details of new daily baby developments
did you know that huggies seem a more plush and comfortable diaper than pampers, but pampers is definitely a more absorbent brand
God help me
chocolate funky mama god that is

Well, "Jesus Has Two Mommies" is over, and now I become a real mommy. The last three months should have been called, "Faith Has Two Babies." Oy vey! The show turned out pretty darn good. Mixed it up with the music and theater scene with much success. As many of you know, after the Somerville theater run, we crossed the river to the very legitimit Copley Square district. Weird to walk out after a show, to the shops of Newbury street as opposed to the students of Holland street.
To all of you who came out to see the show,
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
And if any of you want to help out in the future productions please let us know.
Keep posted right here to the website for future plans, which there will definitely be.
Happy New Year

Hello all, I hope all of your family and friends are safe.
In the past two weeks, I've been taking part in benefits, talking to people who have lost loved ones, and walking around with a sense of uneasiness. What is next? It makes my immediate task at hand even more daunting as I take on the next major project 'Jesus Has Two Mommies," only to be followed and outdone by the expectant birth of my own child in February. (My partner is 6 months pregnant.)
So you see, everything feels related, intertwined.
I'm studying up on religion, more specifically, the bible, in order to seem well versed on the verses. I've bought 100bux worth of religious reference at Booksmith and can't stop reading. At first I didn't know my Genesis from my Gehenna: (the place where according to Jesus in the synoptic Gospels, sinners are put to death).
I've learned a lot about myself in the process. For example, it's more fun to procrastinate than to get with the object at hand, which is writing at least ten song and dance numbers, shooting videos, and writing a cohesive yet tantalizing plot.
To give you, my most devoted disciples, a preview, the play will take place in modern and "biblical" times...as I am retold the story by Jesus himself (with this new and exciting sapphire twist), I myself must struggle through
my daily woes as a modern day Jewish, let's not forget geeky, lesbian. Oh yeah, and my partner is pregnant.
Signed on to do the spectacle are Sean Staples, Catie Curtis, Jennifer Kimball, Meghan Toohey, Jim Infantino, Merle Perkins (as God), and many other talented actor/comediennes from the Boston scene.
The dates are Nov 30th and Dec1st at the Somerville Theater, a little holiday pageantry if you will.
Stay well, and see you in a couple of months, when we can laugh together...
Love,
Faith
